SafetyNow ("the app") is a personal safety app. Because safety features rely on location and device sensors, this policy explains exactly what the app accesses, how it is used, and who it is shared with. The core principle: your data is used only to keep you safe, stays on your device by default, and is shared only with the trusted contacts you choose.
SafetyNow has no user accounts and no analytics or advertising SDKs. We do not operate servers that store your personal data. Everything you set up — trusted contacts, PIN, settings, history — is stored locally on your device.
With your permission, the app accesses your device location to power Live Location sharing, Safe Walk route monitoring, and Family Tracking. Your location is shared only with the trusted contacts you explicitly add, and only when you activate a feature that shares it (for example, starting a Safe Walk or an Emergency alert). We do not collect or sell your location. Location sharing stops when you end the feature.
With your permission, the app reads accelerometer/motion data to detect hard impacts or crashes so it can automatically trigger an emergency alert. This processing happens on your device.
The app uses local notifications on your device (e.g., alerts and reminders). It does not send data to a push server.
Trusted contact details you enter are stored on your device to enable alerts. They are used only to contact those people during a safety event you trigger.
SafetyNow Premium is processed entirely by Apple. We never see your payment details.
SafetyNow is a personal safety aid, not a substitute for official emergency services. In a real emergency, contact your local emergency number.
The app is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country).
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new effective date.
